The Cliffhanger

“The Cliffhanger” the project located in Bangalore in the corner site measuring 2000sqft, with the level drop of 3m across the site. The ground floor is divided in to smaller zones with variant levels based on site contours. The entry location and parking is strategically located so as to negotiate the level better.

The ground floor accommodates parking for two cars, along with entrance lobby and multipurpose hall. As we reach the first floor its split in to two levels with the water court negotiating the two levels. One reaches the living room located in the lower part through staircase and lift. The series of steps from living room leads you to dining and kitchen which opens on to large balcony. The Living room is moved to the rear portion of site, where in kitchen overlooks on to the road, establishing visual control. The dual level also facilitates in achieving in varying volume.

The upper floors accommodates bedroom & attached toilet and dress opening on to staggering terraces with sneak peak of outside. The master bedroom in the second level has a terrace with built in planter box with the movable metal screen protects the balcony from direct western sunlight along with assuring visual privacy.

The exposed cement wash along with brick cladding compliments the large overhanging wooden under cladded canopies resembling a hovercraft sitting on the cliff.
